Reflections at holiday time

The holiday season is always a time when we seem to miss our loved ones the most, regardless of why they are no longer with us. The first is always a bit harder, but this is the fifth holiday season since we lost our son, and the hurt is still there. The tree is up and the shopping is well underway, but a small bit of the joy has left us. My sister-in-law has Christmas stockings she has made over the years that span four generations. They will hang in her great room along the open side of her stairway. The names of those, thankfully very few at this point, who are no longer with us are poignant reminders of their presence.

Hi Bill, thank you for sharing your heartfelt story... You are so right, the reason don't matter, the fact they are gone will always be with us.

Bless your sister-in-law the stockings and hanging ALL of them❤️

You and your family will remain in our thoughts and prayers..

    Much love,
    Kathy

PS - thanks for sharing your story ❤️🎄❤️
