I love heartwarming stories, especially when  so many battles are being fought.

When I was working with the organ transplant team with Eric, I learned so many things I had no idea were possible!

The most important thing I learned was the shear numbers of people on waiting lists, tethered to hospitals, waiting for their match, even knowing time is running out and their days are numbered if there isn't a match.

Then of course,  the anguish in knowing another family is grieving a loss, while they were matched and have the gift of life.

The matching  piece is certainly grueling to have the best match possible for the organ to survive.

Knowing that you can qualify for the gift of life through a living donor is an incredibly special gift.  Especially with kidneys.

I personally have two people  I know on that kidney  list. Waiting, praying they make it.

Here is a story I ran across today... another gift of life through a living donor.

Educate your self on organ donation. Check the a box if nothing else. I am so grateful Eric had.

Thanks to Daryl's donor.... extending  his life.

Much Love,

Kathy

DARYL HALL

Hi everybody,

I thought you should know that I recently received a kidney transplant from a very kind and generous living donor.

It happened a couple of weeks ago, and I’m already starting to feel better. It was, according to my doctors, a complete success.

I should be back to normal in a few months — so get ready for more music and lots of Daryl’s House shows.

Thank you for all your support. It means the world to me.

You all take care.

Love,
Daryl
